So, remember how I was remodeling the YELLOW guest bath? Remember how I was doing that in the midst of the dining room renovation and laundry room relocation? Well, here are some pictures! Finally.
I must point out, those floral rugs are NOT mine, and never were. They had been left from the previous owner and I kept them in for the pictures just to help make my AFTER pictures look that much more glorious!
Check out these dingy shelves.
Now, check out the progress!!
I had originally made these chevron curtains to hang in the new laundry room, but realized I liked them here better and they just happened to fit perfectly! Plus, curtains in a bathroom are kinda more of a priority than curtains in a laundry room…
My Mom painted this large wood mirror that came with the house while she was here over the summer. She was such a big help with all of the little projects I had lined up while Daniel and my Dad worked on the dining room! She also helped me change out the vanity hardware from silver to black. I am really liking the dark hardware popping against the white!
Several coats of paint really spruced up these shelves! Though I have yet to find a nice way to style each tiny little cubby.
My Mother was also a bit help with “The Great Shower Curtain Fisco”. Well… maybe it wasn’t actually that dramatic. We spent an afternoon one day driving around to every store we could think of that carries shower curtains with no luck (World Market, Home Goods, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Kohls). I knew I wanted something colorful, not overly floral, and a color scheme that contained some of the gold-y yellow that the floor tiles are made of. We finally found this beauty online at Target. It was worth the hunting, because it really is the perfect curtain for this space! I had actually been drawn to this print a while ago when I was styling our Master Bedroom, for our bedding (though I never actually purchased it). It is mentioned in this mood board! Ha.
I almost wish this cute photo collage was in a more prominent place in my house than this little guest bath. I had fun creating it with some Ikea frames my sister picked up when she was in Atlanta, and a large print and some greeting cards from one of my favorites: Rifle Paper Co. The wide white baseboards we installed (after removing some very outdated yellow tiles) really updates the space. I think that and the shower curtain are my favorite changes. Daniel and I can’t believe how much we like the yellow floor tiles now that the rest of the decor has toned down all the yellow and the shower is hidden.
Gotta love a basket full o’ towels! I actually enjoy this space now. I never use it for its intended purpose, seeing as I hardly ever even go in the guest room, and it’s the farthest away of the 3 bathrooms in the house, but I imagine it will be a GREAT space when we have little ones running around or family visiting from far, far away.
Looks great Jamie! I loved being part of all the fun
